Because this is primarily a social journal, I've removed people I haven't met in person and/or have little to no online interaction with from my friends list. If you've been cut but would like to stay because you keep meaning to be virtually sociable but never quite get round to it, comment and I'll add you back again.

The internet is not my social medium of choice, but I know it's one of the preferred social mediums among many of the people I happen to know and like. This journal is a private social journal for me to keep in contact with my friends. It's the online equivalent of a private social event in the back room of a pub. If you already know me in person, comment and I'll most likely add you. If you're someone I don't know already, then I might try you out for a while, but if it feels weird having a stranger present amongst my social circle then I may well defriend you again. I just find it hard to be at ease socialising on the internet, and I usually prefer to have some sort of personal real-life reference point to form the basis of my online interactions.
